If you were on the west side of Cleveland the weekend of July 31st, you may have seen throngs of women (and a few handfuls of guys) all decked out in PINK as they traversed through the suburbs of Cleveland walking 60 miles to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer. In order to participate in the Breast Cancer 3-Day, each walker had to raise over $2300 dollars! Last year I had the opportunity to walk this event and it was definitely a life changing experience that I would recommend anyone to give it a shot (don’t let the minimum donation amount or the length of the walk scare you!) While I didn’t get the opportunity this year to participate, I wanted to still go out and cheer on some of the friends I made from last year’s walk (along with Mr. September, from my calendar shoot!) as they got close to finishing up their 3rd day of walking.

A little boy checking out the fun clappers they gave the crowd to cheer on the walkers

Here comes my friend Kevin, along with Mr. September and some of their friends

Kevin, Mr. September, and friends

It was so fun to see how decked out (the pink hat), and giving (the lady handing out popsicles) the crowd can get.

Here come some more walkers!! Wahoo!

Go Team Pink!!
Thank you to all of you that walked in this year’s 3-Day! All your efforts fundraising and training really do pay off and are very much appreciated.
WALK ON!!

When I stopped over to visit Miss Avery the other weekend, it took no time for her to warm up to me and my camera and to show me all her fun toys. She was a little ham in front of the camera and I LOVED every minute of it!

This was only the 2nd or 3rd shot and we already had a big grin!

Her baby fine hair was too precious!

Avery's Daddy was eating some yummy banana bread, but he was kind enough to share.

This smart cookie amazed me at her ability to maneuver up and down the step to where her toys were.

Showing Mommy how to stack and pull off the rings.

Reading via osmosis is the best way to fully appreciate a book.

Riding on Daddy's shoulders ROCKS!

Super Baby!

I loved the contrast here of soft, adorable baby chub with Mandi's long, lean physique. (Jealous!)

Swing Time! Wheeeeee!
I had such a good time hanging out with you, Miss Avery! Your constant smile and curiousity was contagious! Hope we get another opportunity to play again soon!

I had the opportunity to meet miss Gianna the other weekend. She is one of the sweetest, and probably one of the most adorably dressed, three month old you will every meet! The girl also had a million and one super fun expressions.

Looking precious in the tutu made by one of her 'nestie aunts'.

So Angelic

Boy, these fingers sure taste yummy!

Making silly faces with Mommy.

How can such a sad face still be so cute??

Okay, Daddy's here now. Maybe I'm not quite that sad?

I think we finally got a smile!

I just picture Miss G saying, 'Super Baby!' here.

Can we collectively say, 'Awww'. The love is definitely eminent with this threesome.

Who is that hiding under that hoodie??

The grabby fist was Miss G's signal that the photo shoot had come to a close and it was time for a nap.
It was so much fun hanging out with you, sweet little girl. I can’t wait for October to come so we can play some more.

When Melissa contacted me to take some family photos for her grandmother’s upcoming 80th birthday, I was more than happy to oblige. While traditional style family portraits aren’t something that I’ve commonly done, this festive family made the afternoon of portraits such an enjoyable experience, I look forward to future opportunities!

Group shot

The whole group including the dog (far right!)

The girls

The family dogs even joined in on the fun!

And a final shot of Melissa and her wonderful hubby
It was great spending part of my holiday weekend with such a great family. I hope grandma likes the photos!

It’s hard to believe last year on this day, Miss Morgan was making her grand entrance into the world. Now she is celebrating her first birthday. I got to spend some time with her the other weekend to take some photos in honour of her big day!

It's funny how the stoic "what is that camera?" first photo always ends up being one of my fav shots!

I'm SUPER jealous of her baby blues!

Lovin' spending time with ducky and mom!

I think Morgan is going to give Shiloh Jolie-Pitt a run for her money! Look at her eyes and adorable pout!

The book tossing makes it evident that the "Puppy & Kitten" book that dad was reading wasn't that good. Haha.

Who does a better "stink" face...Dad or Morgan??

"Hey! Does this chair have my name on it?!"

"This chair ROCKS, mom!"

Tickle Time!

Definitely LOVING the chair!

The milky pout and look of determination in the photo makes me LOL everytime I look at it!

Who knew photo shoots could be so tiring?
Thank you so much for letting me spend the afternoon with you guys! Hopefully, we can do another shoot for birthday #2!

If you remember back in February of this year, I had the opportunity to work with Matt Caine for his calendar debut as Mr. September for the group 60 mile men. The men in the group put out a calendar each year as part of their fundraising efforts to ultimately raises money to help support the Breast Cancer 3-Day. I am honored that Matt chose me to take his photo!
So this past June 10th, was the BIG reveal of the 2010 calendar and of all the photos that we took, here is the winning shot that made the spread:

Mr September 2010!
If you are interested in seeing some of the other guys that made the cut for the 2010 calendar, or if you are interested in helping Matt with his fundraising efforts by buying one of the 100 calendars he’s obligated to sell, please send him an email at: mcaine1@kent.edu. I’m sure he will GREATLY appreciate it!

Here’s a few photos from a girls weekend in Put-In-Bay to keep you entertained for the time being.

Me and my pretty girls before we wrecked havoc on PIB!

The crazy yellow bikes we rode around the island on with the high handlebars and low seat I couldn't adjust for the life of me!

Melany playing ANTM amongst some fun rocks/cement blocks we found on the island
